  • Information you provide when you contact us, refer someone to us or apply for a job

We only collect sensitive information, such as health information, with your consent or where the law allows.

How we collect it

We collect information directly from you wherever possible, including through our referral form, website contact form, phone calls, emails and appointments. With your consent, we may also collect information from others involved in your care, such as your GP, other health professionals, your child's school or preschool, NDIS plan managers or support coordinators.

Why we collect it

We use your information to:

  • Assess, plan and provide Speech Pathology services
  • Communicate with you about appointments and your care
  • Share reports and updates with your referrer and care team, with your consent
  • Process payments and claims with the NDIS, Medicare, private health insurers or plan managers

We only share your information for the purpose it was collected, with your consent, or where the law requires or allows it. This may include:

  • The NDIA, plan managers or support coordinators, for NDIS-funded services

  • Schools or preschools, only with your consent
  • Our trusted service providers, such as practice management, email and IT providers, who must keep your information secure

We never sell your information or share it for marketing purposes.

How we store and protect it

Client records are stored securely in Splose, a cloud-based practice management system with restricted access, password protection and encryption. Only staff who need your information to do their job can access it. Some of our service providers may store information outside Australia. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to make sure your information is protected to a standard consistent with Australian privacy law.

How long we keep it

As required by NSW law, we keep health records for at least 7 years after the last service for adults, and until a child turns 25. After that, records are securely destroyed.
